Craig Nelson

When Craig Nelson was a child, the school bus dropped him off at his grandmother’s liquor store. According to family legend, he had his first taste of bourbon before he was one. Today, he mixes drinks at Proof, the intimate craft cocktail bar in Charleston, South Carolina that he opened in 2012. Over the past several years, he has competed in and won a handful of cocktail competitions on local and national levels. In 2013, Food & Wine named Proof one of the fifty best new bars in the country.
